Pulelehua was created in 2018 after I competed in the 2016 Merrie Monarch. I fell in love with the aloha attire that everyone was wearing throughout the competition. It was the inspiration I needed to pursue my dream in the fashion industry.
I launched the Ohia Lehua collection as my first design to honor the island of Hawaii. This was the beginning of the Rapid Ohia death.
In 2020 during the pandemic, I was blessed to have more time to create and develop more designs and styles. Through this the birth of Pua Melia, Awapuhi, Monsterra, Gardenia and the Kalo was born.
2022 September , I was invited to the Brooklyn New York Fashion Week.
2022 October, I was invited to Los Angelas Fashion Week.
Pulelehua is the FIRST to be representing the State of Hawaii to LA fashion week.
Pulelehua is the FIRST fashion designer from Maui, Hawaii that went to NYFW and LAFW.
It is my honor to bring Hawaiian fashion to an elevated local and resort wear.
All the inspiration came from hula, family, people and our aina.
